THE HOWLING

I was photographing Rampage for an editorial that was going to be featured in Essence Magazine and I asked him about his howl. He said “I’ve been doing it since I was a kid and I got so good at it, that I could do it in the woods or the mountains and Wolves and dogs would respond, like I was one of them. I’m a real Wolf.”

I asked him if he’d do the howl for me one time that I wanted to capture it properly and he said.. “Ok. I’ll do it once, so if you don’t catch it, that’s your bad.”

He let the howl rip and it echoed through the studio like there was a pack of wolves in the room. Aside from Rampage’s steel chain, his howl is about as signature as it gets.

This is a Limited Edition Giclée on cotton fiber paper. /  Edition Size is limited to 72 pieces.
